Mr. Benjamin Jerome Hunter, formerly of La Marque, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2018 at his residence in Maryland. Benjamin was born July 18, 1962 in La Marque, Texas to Rev. Benjamin Hunter and the late Florine Hunter. He was educated in the public schools of La Marque and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. B. J. accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Hitchcock, Texas. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Florine Hunter; sisters, Vanessa Hunter and Bennie Hunter; and brother, Kenneth Hunter. He will forever be loved in the hearts of father, Rev. B.J. Hunter and his stepmother, Ruby Hunter; brothers, Walter Hunter and Jeffery Hunter; sisters, Mona Hunter and Juanita Lestrick (Edwin) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many beloved friends.
