Miss Ella Watts

Ella Mae Watts, age 83 of Franklin, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was born to the late Robert Watts and Edith Watts on April 24, 1932. A young Ella joined her siblings in Galveston, Texas where she went on to work for St. Mary's Hospital from which she would eventually retire. For over 40 years she was a faithful and active member of Live Oak Baptist Church where she regularly volunteered her time and her gift of seeing to the wellbeing of others. Her church and choir work will leave a lasting impression for years to come. Ella lived for the Lord and for his glorification. The Psalms were here favorite book in particular Psalm 23: The Prayer of David. She could often be heard praising God's name, giving him glory or praying for someone in need. Her love for Jesus was so inspirational that many came to know Christ. The moral and social values she lived by were an inspiration to those who knew and loved her. She was truly a gem. Ella is survived by her daughter Felicia Watts Roberson; granddaughters, Bianca, Chelsea and Angelica Roberson; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Ashton and Sloane Johnson. Ella is also survived by her older brother, Robert Watts, and younger sister, Myrtle Paul, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Ella Watts is preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur and Edward Watts and older sister, Laura Bailey.
